Sailing yachts over 40 feet to discover in 2020

The RM1180

The trade show season is approaching and it will be an opportunity to discover the new sailing yachts over 40 feet that will arrive on the market in 2020. These large models are both elegant and comfortable.

RM 1180 euros 13,05 m (with bowsprit)

The RM1180 designed by Lombard was inspired by ocean racing yachts. With this new model, the builder from La Rochelle wants to offer a high-performance, fast boat. As with the other 5 models, the interior is bright, a feeling accentuated by the light-colored linings. The RM1180 offers up to 3 cabins (optional).

While Fora Marine's RMs were built with a plywood hull and a polyester deck, this model has epoxy infusion sandwich planks.

Bavaria C45 euros 13,98 m

Thus, the same equipment will be found on board: dinghy garage, bathing platform, cockpit kitchen and numerous cabins (up to 5). This 47.3-foot model is available in two versions: Holiday and Style.

Azuree 46 euros 13,99 m

L' Azuree 46 is the largest model in the sailing range of the Turkish manufacturer Sirena Marine. The philosophy of this yacht can be summed up in one word: comfort. For example, in the cockpit, the benches become large sunbeds and the bathing platform opens at the back for easy access to the water.

The equipment has been designed for short-handed sailing with the "German system" which allows the mainsheet to be returned to the spinnaker winches on either side of the cockpit and a low overlap genoa.

Swan 48 euros 14,75 m

The Swan 48 was launched in 1971 by Nautors' Swan and quickly won the biggest races of the time. A second version saw the light of day in 1995 and came out of the drawing boards of naval architect German Frers and was also a huge success. The year 2019 marks the great return of the Swan 48, revised and corrected by its architect.

This new yacht retains more or less the same dimensions as its predecessor, but the distribution of volumes and weights is completely modern. The lines of the Swan 48 euros, designed by naval architect German Frers euros, are inspired by the latest generation of large yachts from the Finnish shipyard: the Swan 115, and the very recent Swan 78 and 65.
