165 Wallypower, the superyacht open for Mediterranean cruises

The 165 Wallypower

The Italian manufacturer Wally has just unveiled its new motor yacht project, the 165 Wallypower. This 50m superyacht features a deck layout and is inspired by the radical look of the 118 Wallypower.

After the Wally 101 the Italian manufacturer has just unveiled 3D images of its next motor superyacht, the 165 Wallypower, a high-performance luxury cruising yacht. This yacht is a 50-meter fast open yacht and the first motor model since the acquisition of Wally by the Ferretti Group.

The design was entrusted to the firm Espen Ĝino and was inspired by the radical look of the 118 Wallypower one of Wally's first revolutionary creations. The concept is a fast, easy-to-use open cruising superyacht with a contemporary design.

"The 165 Wallypower will forever change the way the world views cruising yachts in the Mediterranean." says the designer.

The 118 Wallypower

The redesigned Mediterranean cruise ship

The 165 Wallypower will be powerful and efficient, promising a superb sea passage thanks to its sharp bow to cut through the waves effortlessly. With this new design, Wally wants to modernize the large open yacht market.

This modern cruising yacht will have a medium autonomy, but sufficient to navigate in the Mediterranean and go from one island to another or from one country to another (Saint-Tropez euros Sardinia for example) quickly and in the greatest comfort.

A distinctive design from Wally

This new model has the distinctive characteristics of a motorized Wally, namely clean, angular and sharp lines with open decks. The interior volume has been maximized thanks to an intelligent architecture and the exterior spaces are always connected to the interior, while offering the possibility to be closer to the sea.

Often, open ships tend to bang, but the designer assures that the 165 Wallypower's hull will allow for an effortless and smooth passage through the sea.

Thanks to diesel engines and jet propulsion, the 50-meter, 499-ton superyacht should reach 30 knots.

Large living spaces

The owner's cabin is located on the main deck offering plenty of privacy and space. Four other guest cabins are located on the lower deck, next to the crew and service areas forward.

Amidships, on the main deck, is a large lounge and dining area with two fold-down balconies. Outside, as an extension of the indoor living space, an outdoor dining area and a swimming pool with large sunbathing areas are located on the main deck.

Port and starboard stairs lead down to the beach club with a large U-shaped bench seat and large folding bulwarks to extend the deck.

The typical Wally signature of minimal guardrails and deck fittings is maintained for a feeling of space and serenity. Glass replaces as much as possible the exterior structures of the sundeck and main deck, to maximize the feeling of closeness to the water. Tenders are stored in a large garage hidden under the foredeck.

The sundeck is 15 m long. In the front, above the huge glass windscreen, there is a large raised sofa that provides an excellent view during the journey. A central U-shaped bar is fully protected from the elements by a large hard top. A large sundeck at the rear of the sundeck offers an almost panoramic view of the water.
