Mylius 80, elegance at the service of the regatta

The Mylius 80

Mylius is the specialist in semi-custom carbon sailboats dedicated to performance. Both a regatta and cruising yacht, the Mylius 80 - launched in 2018 - has been designed to be as light as possible and has lines of extreme elegance and purity.

A full carbon construction

Mylius Yachts builds fast, elegant and semi-custom cruising yachts. The range includes three models of 60, 65 and 80 feet - available in several versions - Flush Deck and Deck Saloon - which will soon be joined by a 92 footer. High-performance yachts - inspired by racing boats - as comfortable on board as they are in regattas, which offer as much comfort on board as speed on the water thanks to a "full carbon" construction.

Its high modulus carbon rigging supports a sail plan of 355 m2 upwind and 740 m2 downwind. With a displacement of 29,750 kg - including 10,900 kg of ballast - the Mylius 80 is positioned as a true performance boat and has a power-to-weight ratio that is favourable for light wind sailing.

A bridge flush

The Mylius 80 Flush Deck - 23.43 m long and 5.85 m wide - is no exception. The deck is flush - nothing protrudes into this sleek cockpit with two wheel steering. The front axle is huge - as it is at the rear - characteristic of the Italian manufacturer's boats. The lines are pure and slim and the design is of incredible beauty! The Deck lounge version is wider, longer and more voluminous.

An improved version of the Mylius 76

This first Mylius 80 called Twin Soul was launched in 2018. This model is an improved version of the Mylius 76, a 24-metre sailboat launched in 2015. Some installations have been redesigned to reflect the layout of the bridge or the lines of the roof. The latter is lower and brings a more "racy" side to the boat. Cockpit steps have disappeared to increase the space available on a single level. At the front, there is a lounge area - which can be arranged as a comfortable outdoor area with large benches and cockpit table in the Deck saloon version.

A stripped interior design

The interior layout has also been simplified. On the port side a U-shaped galley with all comforts is located aft, while on the starboard side there is more space for the bathroom and crew cabin, but also the possibility of having a fourth cabin without a corridor. In the front, there are three cabins, including the owner's cabin.

The latter receives two double beds separated by a central corridor and a bathroom with shower with light effects (chromotherapy). Behind it is a large sailing hold.

Owner's cabin

The chart table has been moved next to the dining area for simplicity. This area has a large bench to port and a dining area to starboard with a splendid carbon table and non-marine chairs, which can be folded up while sailing.

Square

Inside too, everything is minimalist, simple and refined. Because even if we feel the quality of the layout and finish, in a weight saving approach, we do not find any superfluous furniture. This boat designed for long cruises offers adequate storage space for autonomy in navigation. In total, the Mylius 80 can accommodate up to 6 guests on board and 2 crew members. This "dayboat" made in Italy is displayed at a price of around 4 million euros.
