An evolution of the T53
The Italian manufacturer launched its Trawler range in 2013 with the T43. This was followed in 2014 by the T53 - a 17 m-long trawler - of which the new T55, launched in September 2019, is an evolution. This trawler retains the same dimensions as the model it replaces but comes back with an advanced design, designed by designer Christian Grande.
Thus, the boat's exterior line is more modern and inspired by the look of modern explorers, such as Azimut Yachts' Magellano or Absolute Yachts' Navetta. The designer also opted for a totally glazed superstructure, in keeping with the trend of the moment, and an elegant flybridge T-top, made of a mixture of glass and carbon fibres.
The change does not stop there because the layout of the main bridge has been modified. The galley previously located aft is now located forward to port, facing the cockpit. The latter remains to starboard but now has two comfortable seats.
The stern of the main deck is now occupied by an elegant and spacious L-shaped saloon that faces a sofa with television on the port side.
Three comfortable and spacious cabins
On the lower deck, the layout seems unchanged with three double cabins and two bathrooms. The large owner's cabin is installed in the centre of the boat with a full width layout. A crew cabin with toilet, sink and single berth is located at the front and accessible from the front beach of the boat.
The perfect travel boat
This model is spacious and offers an original and elegant layout. The finishes are of high quality and everything has been designed for life on board. As the largest model in the Trawler range, the T55 is the perfect long-haul travel boat. With its 360° glazing, the main deck is bright and offers a breathtaking view of the outside. Travel on board is easy with well-defined living areas and lateral access to the cabins.
Beautiful outdoor living areas
Outside, there are also several relaxation areas. First in the cockpit - more dedicated to meals with an L-shaped saloon and a folding table. The front beach is reserved for idleness with a large bench with a table leaning against the wheelhouse at the rear and two large sunbathing areas at the front.
Finally, the flybridge - to which access is via a beautiful staircase with handrails located in the cockpit - brings these two worlds together. There is a bar with grill, sink and refrigerator, a U-shaped square for 8 - with a removable backrest - for meals and a small sunbathing area at the back, as well as a huge sunbathing area at the front.
The T-Top provides shelter and protection for the flybridge, providing shade. A sunroof provides fresh air or sunlight, and a fabric bimini extends to the back, protecting the terrace. The foot of the T-Top offers plenty of storage space and houses a hand shower, which will allow you to refresh yourself from a long day in the sun.
Access to the boat will be possible via the large bathing platform at the stern of the cockpit or via the coupé door on the port side.
Inboard powertrain and IPS propulsion
Designed for long-distance navigation, the T55 has a long range with a 2250 L fuel tank. Thanks to its two Volvo Penta IPS D8-800 600HP engines, the yard announces a faster model than its predecessor, whose cruising speed was 22 knots. For greater efficiency and ease of operation, the Cranchi T55 is equipped with a joystick and electronic controls system.
