Princess V55, elegance and power for the next generation

The Princess V55 is an elegant 17.81m sportcruiser whose design and layout has been redesigned for practicality and versatility.

A sporty and elegant model

The Princess V55 is the new model of the V range, known for its sporty models with impeccable seakeeping. This 17.81 m sport-cruiser coupé takes its place at the heart of the V40, V50, V60, V65 and V78 range and is equipped with a new, equally elegant but practical design.

"It's the most exciting boat in the world. He is elegant and powerful and is the epitome of what a Princess should be. It is a smart boat which is available in Deck saloon or Open version thanks to the retractable bay window and the opening roof. The Princess V55 offers both style and speed and is suitable for a wide range of activities." explains Anthony Sheriff, Executive Chairman of the Princess Yachts Group.

New hull and design

Externally, the new hull architecture - with a deep V-shaped infused resin hull - should improve performance. This new structural form would offer technical advantages in terms of seakeeping, optimising lift and reducing drag, particularly at high speeds.

As for the huge black windows, they give it an elegant and recognizable look. The English manufacturer has also worked on the definition of the space by proposing new interior fittings and equipment. The result is a boat with a lower centre of gravity and therefore more efficient.

Speed and cruise

This modern sports yacht of less than 20 m combines dynamic handling and outdoor living with functional on-board comfort. Cruising, water sports or entertainment are on the programme of the Princess V55, designed to appeal to smaller yacht owners or new clients.

With two Volvo D13 engines of 1000 HP each, the forecast calls for a maximum speed of 37 knots.

Its design is characterized by continuous rounded lines, an open deck layout and a spacious interior. At the stern, a beautiful hydraulic bathing platform leads to the teak-covered cockpit. On each side a side windshield will undoubtedly allow you to cut yourself off from the wind.

Comfort and modularity of spaces

A large sundeck overlooking a 3.45 m tender garage at the stern and incorporating a cockpit bench seat at the bow, L-shaped saloon on the port side and electric barbecue on the starboard side make it possible to enjoy a day at sea with all the necessary equipment. An additional corner seat can be installed between the two benches to create an uninterrupted bench seat. An electric bimini hidden in the hard-top protects the space from the sun.

The connection to the living room is via a sliding French window that can be fully retracted hydraulically.

There is a saloon with a comfortable sofa and coffee table on the port side - which can be transformed into a dining table - opposite a fully equipped American kitchen: 3-zone induction hob, extractor hood and a microwave oven with grill. Refrigerator and freezer keep food cool. A storage cabinet offers a bar area, a refrigerator as well as an LED TV, a DVD/Blu-Ray player and an audio system. The TV swivels on its axis, so that it can be watched from the cockpit.

A double helm station on the starboard side benefits from superb visibility forward and to the sides thanks to the large sloping windscreen. The power sunroof turns the Princess V55 into a true open top.

Below deck, up to six guests can enjoy three spacious cabins, made bright by the large hull windows. The full width owner's cabin has a double bed, a private bathroom and plenty of storage space for extended stays. A 40-inch television and an audio system are part of the equipment.

The forward cabin - scissor beds - and the starboard cabin with bunk beds share the same bathroom. On the landing there is a washing machine and dryer. As an option, an optional single cabin may be allocated to the crew or occasional guests.

Splendid outdoor spaces

The British builder has placed the emphasis on the exterior, as it is considered to be the place where owners and their guests will spend most of their time. For example, the spacious foredeck is equipped with a bench seat facing the sea and a large sunbathing area convertible into additional seating facing aft. At the rear, the tender garage with an electro-hydraulic door can also accommodate toys for playing on the water. An internal watertight door gives access - from the garage - to the crew cabin (optional) and the engine room.
