A powerful outboard version for the 48 Wallytender

After the launch of the 48 Wallytender in inboard version, the Italian manufacturer is now offering a powerful outboard version called 48 Wallytender X.

In the wake of the launch of the new Wallytender 48 in the fall of 2019, the Italian manufacturer recently acquired by the Ferretti euros group will present its outboard version in February 2020.

"With four 450 HP Racing outboard engines designed to reach amazing speeds, the 48 Wallytender X is sure to turn heads and be the perfect partner for anyone who loves high performance boats." explains Stefano de Vivo, general manager of Wally.

After studying several propulsion options for his outboard model, Wally finally chose the latest models Mercury Verado R of 450 HP . They are the lightest and most fuel-efficient outboards on the market, with the best power-to-weight ratio.

Thanks to the lightweight carbon fiber construction, the shipyard reveals that in-house testing resulted in high top speeds with low fuel consumption over a long distance. On preliminary sea trials, the top speed of 55 knots was exceeded and the cruising speed of 40 knots allowed for 320 miles.

Thanks to its performance, the shipyard hopes to seduce owners eager to quickly reach distant destinations for a day in the sun. The spacious and elegant cabin will allow you to consider spending the night on board, while the large teak cockpit with its huge front and back sunbathing areas and its outside kitchen will invite comfort. Not to mention the tilting bulwarks to increase the deck area. Finally, the use of outboard engines also frees up a lot of storage space.

The manufacturer also announces a quiet boat thanks to a reduction of noise and vibrations, but also easy to maintain. Thanks to the easy-to-lift outboards, the 48 Wallytender X will have a reduced draft of 70 cm, ideal for accessing anchorages. Like its inboard counterpart, the 48 Wallytender X has joystick control for easy docking.

To facilitate access to the boat, the manufacturer has divided the four engines on either side of the boat, leaving a central passage to position the hydraulic retractable boarding bridge or the swim ladder.

"We are very proud of what we have accomplished with this new outboard version of the 48 Wallytender, comments Luca Bassani, founder of Wally. "We were able to maintain its strong aesthetic identity and the many practical features of the inboard model, while meeting the needs of customers who prefer the experience of an outboard with top speeds and high performance levels."
