The Cayman 27.0 Sport Touring is one of the three new models launched at the end of 2019 by the Italian shipyard Ranieri International. It is also available in a Sport Touring Trofeo version that offers the possibility of customising the colour of the floats, hull and deck and includes an external fridge.
Its stepped hull promises a very good passage at sea and maximum performance. Motorized in single (350 HP) or twin-engine (2X250 HP), it is in this version that it is the fastest with a maximum speed of 44 knots and a cruising speed of about 25 knots. While it retains the lines of the Cayman range, the aft cockpit handrails are now replaced by imposing polyester reinforcements, reminiscent of those introduced on Ranieri's flagship model, the Cayman 38.0 Executive.
At the stern, one appreciates the length of the bathing platforms from which it will be easy to swim, but also the width of the stern platform which allows easy movement from one platform to another.
Access to the cockpit is easy to port through a cut-out in the back of the bench seat. This one is well protected by the beautiful freeboard and the height of the seats. The U-shaped bench can accommodate up to 8 people around an optional table. You can also transform this aft saloon into a large sunbathing area.
The leaning-post receives on the back an outside kitchen with storage space, sink and gas hob). If in the Touring version the refrigerator is optional, it is installed as standard in the Trofeo version, on the front of the leaning post, under the driving seat. At the rear, an optional folding seat can be easily folded out to provide additional seating around the table.
Both the centre console and the level deck plan make it easy to move around on board. The starboard side of the boat houses the cockpit, which offers a spacious instrument panel. A windshield with tubular stainless steel posts should provide good protection against spray and also act as a handrail when travelling.
The driver's seat offers two comfortable seats that can be folded up for standing driving.
In the console, which is accessed through a sliding Plexiglas door, there's plenty of storage space. As an option, it is possible to install toilets.
At the bow, there is a sunbathing area under which is a storage locker and the anchor locker. By choosing a dinette kit, you can enjoy a second U-shaped dining area. Vis-a-vis, a deep console seat makes it possible to enjoy the navigation well wedged against the backrest. On the bow, a fibreglass reinforcement facilitates disembarkation at the dock.
