The French builder B2 Marine specialises in small, transportable and habitable motorboats from 4.50 to 7.50 m in length. Its Cap Ferret range is composed of open boats dedicated to day sailing.

The Cap Ferret 522 Open is a small open 5.22 m long and 1.98 m wide, with a single port side gangway to make the most of the space forward. Sunbathing area, picnic table, storage space and even a small tote bag cabin with chemical toilet are its main assets. Its two bolster bucket seats swivel aft to create a user-friendly cockpit space with the aft bench seat with folding backrest.
With a weight of 595 kg (without engine), a single-axle trailer is sufficient to transport it.

"Its V-shaped hull, which is very pleasant to sail on, allows it to pass the waves well. The indentations under the hull make it easy to manoeuvre. The Cap Ferret 522 Open works very well with a 50 HP outboard motor. The recommended power is 50 to 60 HP even though it can receive up to 75 HP."
