SLR60, the ultimate superyacht tender by Windy Boat

The Norwegian manufacturer Windy Boats has just unveiled the first images of its largest model ever produced, a luxurious chaseboat nearly 20 m long.

With the very successful launch of the Windy SR52 Blackbird in 2010, the Norwegian manufacturer entered the superyacht market. In 2014, Windy was once again successful with the launch of a 100% custom limo tender and launched a line of luxurious custom tenders up to 13 m.

In 2021, Windy will launch the SLR60, an 18.12-metre chaseboat, the first of which was ordered by an owner of an 80-metre sailing yacht. The design is by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design?; he had already collaborated on the design of the S52 Blackbird and there is a resemblance between the two models.

Designed for coastal exploration and multi-day excursions - the SLR60 offers a range of 850 miles at 25 knots - it is also suitable for many activities: speed - 44 knots max -, diving or fishing.

Large bathing platform, huge sunbathing area and kitchen allow you to spend a good time on the water, to relax and unwind.

Numerous tests have been carried out to determine the boat's performance. Thanks to its chine hull that flares out to the forward section, the SLR60 should deflect the waves to keep its passengers dry. The large windshield, extended by a hard-top will also provide protection for the pilot and the 9 passengers facing the sea. Finally, a gyrostabilizer will increase comfort at anchor by stabilizing the boat.

While this first model was designed in collaboration with its future owner to resemble the superyacht it will accompany, it will later join the Yacht Projects range as the Norwegian shipyard's largest model.
