With the Prince 50, Nuova Jolly enters the race for semi-rigid maxis

The Italian Nuova Jolly will present its largest model ever built, the Prince 50, a 15m semi-rigid maxi powered by 4 outboard engines of 425 HP.

A mega tire

After Bags, Stomach or Tempest, it's now up to Nuova Jolly to take out their 50-foot RIB. The Prince 50 - the largest model of the Italian manufacturer - will be unveiled in September 2020 in Cannes.

The shipyard entrusted the design of its new model to Luca Macchi, who opted for a robust design and a walkaround deck layout with generous living spaces. Thus, the aft cockpit offers a huge sunbathing area under which there is certainly a storage locker. Access to the saloon is via two side passages, protected by polyester reinforcements on the floats.

A user-friendly deck plan for lazing around

According to the first pictures, the saloon seems to be well protected, always by these reinforcements as well as by the high backs of the three benches that encircle a solid wood table. A galley unit installed behind the cockpit seats provides passengers with a sink, a 100 L drawer refrigerator and an icemaker, a work/cutting board and a two-burner induction hob.

Still from the first pictures, it should be easy to move around on board, especially via the large, well-protected gangways. The forward cockpit in fact offers a second living area with a U-shaped saloon and a console bench seat. No doubt it will be possible to transform this space into a huge sunbathing area, thanks to the cockpit table, which disappears completely into the floor.

According to the yard, the upholstery was specifically developed not to heat too much in the sun, even in darker tones.

The cockpit includes three ergonomic seats and an instrument panel well protected by a lapel windshield. It will be possible to install a very large screen or two 12-inch screens. A rigid T-Top will protect the driver and passengers.

A large cabin for four people

Below deck, there is a beautiful and luminous interior space which should provide a good headroom. There is a kitchen complete with sink, 40 L refrigerator and microwave. A bathroom with shower and washbasin will allow you to take a shower with intimacy.

A total of four people can sleep on board, two in the forward cabin and two in the aft cabin, each offering storage. As an added bonus, the hull glazing in the forward cabin will provide natural light and a view of the sea.

For ventilation and light, Nuova Jolly insisted on inserting a large roof glazing on the console and a direct opening via the console bench.

The first model is expected to be powered by four Yamaha V 8?425 XTO Offshore outboard engines, combined with the Helm Master joystick system. The Prince 50 will then be able to receive Mercury Verado 350 or 400 HP, but also inboard engines combined with surface propellers.
