Web series / Nomad Citizen Sailing, how to experience the confinement aboard a sailboat?

In this new episode of Nomad Citizen Sailing, Marvin, Daniela and baby Tara are forced to confine themselves because of the Covid-19 while living on board their sailboat, and are currently sailing in Spain. A situation that forces the family to totally rethink their way of life.

As Daniela, Marvin and Tara continued their sailing journey, they too were forced to confine themselves. In the port of Cadiz, they took the opportunity to refill the supplies for two weeks and fill the tanks with fresh water, having no dessliners on board and an 18-month-old baby to look after. As they decide to finally leave Spain for Portugal before the borders close, bad weather conditions decide otherwise.

If Marvin is at the helm, Daniela takes care of baby Tara while managing the whims of her stomach. In the end, Marvin preferred to turn back to find a port or take shelter. But faced with the refusal of the latter, it is finally in the Guadalquivir river that the little family dropped anchor for the night.

In the early morning, it is essential to take shelter. The weather is still bad, and the water tanks are empty. It is finally in Cadiz, which they will reach after 3 hours of navigation, that they will live this confinement

While Spain is one of the European countries most affected by the disease, Daniela then established a whole procedure to combat the spread of the virus on board. The ship is confined, the interior disinfected and a strict protocol must be followed. What is likely to be contaminated is forbidden inside. In order to do this, the young woman uses her imagination to identify possibly contaminated objects and clean objects with stickers. Clothes are cleaned, food products are disinfected to try to be as safe as possible.
