The 1000 bollards adapted to the regatta under the name of the 1000 nautics

The famous 1000 bollards set has just been adapted in a maritime version by two sailors. A perfect game for sailing families looking for entertainment at home

Created in 1954, Le 1000 bornes is a board game using cards on the theme of car racing. Sold every year in several thousand copies, it is a great classic adapted to all generations of players

Inspired by the sure value of family board games, Cédric Faron, professional skipper, had the idea of adapting this land game to the maritime world. Relying on the drawing talents of another skipper, François Denis, they have adapted the rules to stage the many situations encountered at sea

Just like in the land version, the competitors are battling it out over a 1500 nautical mile course, whilst thwarting the vagaries of the regatta. Cédric and François have drawn inspiration from their solid sailing experience, notably on the Mini Transat, which they both raced in 2017.

"By taking on the role of skipper, you'll have to avoid damage, calm, fatigue, UFOs, grounding... But also the traps your competitors can set for you," explains Cédric. "Whilst avoiding panic on board, you'll have to be cunning to be first on the finish line"

To spice up the games, the game can be adapted to longer courses, following the route of the Route du Rhum (3,600 miles) or the Vendée Globe (21,600 miles)

Suitable for players of all ages, you don't need to be an experienced player to play it
