Daysailers, yachts of various designs for day cruises

Aira 22

The daysailer is an elegant sailing yacht designed for coastal and lake sailing, particularly popular with boaters in northern Europe. And if it is a particularly developed market in the Nordic countries, the designs are as numerous as the models.

The daysailer is a sailboat that allows you to sail for a day, in the greatest comfort, for a moment of relaxation, on a calm sea, but especially inland water. Particularly popular with sailors in northern European countries, there are many boats of this type in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, etc.

Unlike traditional sailboats, daysailers have low freeboards, low roofs, no stanchions and careful finishing and detailing. The headroom is often limited by suitability for a day underwater and the interior is fitted out with a lot of comfort, even allowing to spend a night on board.

The daysailer market is vast, and there are models for all tastes, with often very different designs. Here are some models and brands we have found for you:

Saffier, sporting elegance

With their elegant windshield that surrounds the roof, the sailboats of the Dutch manufacturer Saffier Yachts are racy. Their characteristic? A large cockpit for a convivial moment on the water and a helm station with attached maneuvers for solo sailing.

For example, the Saffier SE 27 Leisure launched in 2020, with a length of 8.20 m, is sold for 74,500 euros (excl. VAT) with electric propulsion.

Rustler, the charm of the classic

Inspired by the classic designs of the last century, the Rustler 24 combines the charm of the old with modern materials and systems. The boat is built in Falmouth, Cornwall (England) and has a very nice finish, which also explains its price of 86,000 euros excluding VAT with a diesel inboard engine.
