B34, a luxury daysailer for racing and cruising

The B-Yachts manufacturer (Luca Brenta Yachts) has just launched the Brenta 34, a luxurious 10-metre daysailer designed for regatta sailing, but with a layout that makes it possible to envisage short cruising.

Sleek design

The new B34 (Luca Brenta Yachts) is a 10 m long, very elegant yacht with a clean, even uncluttered design. Conceived as a racing daysailer, its facilities allow nevertheless to spend a weekend on board.

Lowered roofs, no stanchions or lines, flush deck and a very wide and open transom are the features of the B34. designed to "catch the eye". Its design is inspired by the manufacturer's largest custom models, launched several years ago.

Easy to manoeuvre single-handed and efficient in all weathers

The aim of this boat is to be fast, but also easy to sail single-handed or double-handed. Thus, it will also be a very good regatta boat. With a reduced wetted surface area, the B34 is designed to perform as well upwind as downwind

A large cockpit for cruising

The B34 has a very large cockpit that can accommodate 6 people, seated on the two side benches. The winches (available in electric) for adjusting the sheets and halyards are positioned on each side of the companionway, while the two steering wheels are installed on the rear of the cockpit. For cruising, many options are available such as a removable cockpit table, a bimini, a sprayhood, a cockpit shower with hot water or a removable swim ladder.

Regatta or cruising version

The yacht is equipped with a self-tacking jib and a fixed bowsprit 1 m long to easily install a Code 0 or a gennaker, for reaching speeds. For racing, it is possible to install an optional shorter genoa sheet track for a genoa with 110% overlap. As an option, a carbon mast and boom can be installed. The sail area upwind is approximately 68 m² and 115 m² downwind with the gennaker.

The construction is made by infusion of a hybrid carbon fibre fabric with a structure and partitions reinforced with 100% carbon and epoxy resin. The T-keel is made of steel with lead bulb.

A minimalist layout for short cruises

The interior is also minimalist and elegant, in line with Luca Brenta's design. There is a double berth at the bow. Ahead of the epontille, we find a wardrobe on the starboard side and a toilet hidden in a locker and overhung by a storage space.

In the central area, two side benches serve as single berths and two storage units house an optional fridge, stove and sink.
