Web series / Mini 887 - Grégoire Chéron : how to survive a shipwreck ?

In this third episode, Grégoire Chéron (Mini 887), who will be taking part in the Mini Transat 2021, explains with humour how to survive in the event of a shipwreck. With the help of Roland Jourdain, he will have to put himself in a shipwrecked situation in 2 minutes.

After a tumultuous launch, Grégoire Chéron (Mini 887) thought he could finally make his first Breton navigations. But Covid-19 and confinement obliged, navigation was forbidden. He therefore decided to study safety at sea, and in particular survival after a shipwreck: what to do if the boat sinks and ends up in the water waiting for help for several hours heures??

After telephone consultation with Roland Jourdain, who was wrecked on the 1983 Mini Transat aboard his Muscadet, he learns that he will have to prepare for survival in 2 minutes on the clock. Armed with his timer, he then decides to put himself in a situation by testing the various safety equipment that it is compulsory to have on board:

- the survival suit that has to be put on in 1 minute

- the life raft that must be deployed in 1 minute

- survival rations to be stored in a sealed, waterproof, floating survival canister.

With a lot of humor - and tests in a confinement situation - will Grégoire manage to put on his GST and deploy his raft in time imparti?? You will be when you watch the video.
