Web series / Nomad Citizen Sailing, the freedom to sail at last!

In this 19th episode of Nomad Citizen Sailing, Daniela, Marvin and Tara finally regain the freedom to sail.

After two months of confinement in the Spanish port of Cadiz, Daniela, Marvin and Tara finally have the possibility to sail. Admittedly with restrictions, since May 11th, 2020, in Spain, it is possible to sail up to 12 miles away from their home port. Unfortunately for them, the bad weather conditions will confine them to port for another 5 days

With the return of the sun, it's finally time to cast off. But before that, we need to clean up. First of all to tidy up the saloon, transformed into a giant drying room and prepare the boat for a few days of anchorage in the wilderness. With the tanks full and the pushchairs stowed away, it's now time to leave.

Their destination is only 40 minutes sailing time from Cadiz, at anchor near the port of Sherry. Nor can they sail too far from Cadiz, as they are waiting for their Go-Pro to be repaired. Unfortunately, there is no wind and this first sailing in many months will be done with the engine. However, the couple has finally invested in spinnaker sheets all neuves?!

Marvin installs the solar panels to live independently while the family prepares to go to the beach in the dinghy. But once again, the driving rain will prevent them from getting out. The opportunity for Marvin to rest, the night having been short. Indeed, after two months in port, he has to get used to the noises and movements of the boat. So this first night at anchor was quite stressful for the captain.

In the afternoon, the return of the sun does not allow them to go to the beach, but at least to indulge in their favourite activity, sport. The end of the day will be devoted to relaxing and enjoying the green landscape, in stark contrast to the concrete port of Cadiz
