Test / Facilities and life on board the Solaris 55, the chic plus ultra

As we look forward to taking the helm of this sea feline. We are discovering classic fittings of the finest workmanship. Cossus, but light, they provide a luxuriously muffled atmosphere without penalizing the weight estimate

A very classic, but functional distribution

With three double cabins, each with their own private bathroom, for more than 16 metres in length, there is no risk of being cramped and rather very comfortable to relax in the best conditions. One of the aft cabins can be fitted out with twin beds and two options of forward cabins, with island bed or side bed, are to be chosen. A seaman's (or child) cabin can be accommodated in the fore peak, which also serves as a sail locker. Space is omnipresent on board with beautiful volumes in each living compartment. A beautiful garage with tender completes this classy device for fast and elegant cruising.

Refined wood species

While the fittings are offered in oak finishes in the catalogue, the yard, which likes a job well done and beautiful cabinetwork finishes, offers other species. Our test boat was fitted with matt varnished blond teak veneers to cover all the fittings. The faultless assembly and the origin of the woodwork give the feeling, according to her owner, of having the quality of a 35-ton boat when she only weighs 17! The seafaring spirit is omnipresent everywhere on board with practical and safe solutions that contribute to safety. The handrails are integrated into the fargues without being noticed. The chic, but not the shock.

Well-thought-out functional attributes

One of the keys to success on a cruise is that everything comes naturally at hand. Solaris has been working on this issue, as can be seen from the organisation of the on-board stowage facilities. The wardrobes are very spacious to accommodate the guests' wardrobe and the compartmentalization of the lockers is very practical when it comes to finding the item quickly. Drawers, jacks, wedges, everything is done to facilitate the storage of utensils. Kitchen and chart table face each other and as a focal point of the edge are equipped with large storage capacities.
