The Vendée-based manufacturer Bénéteau continues to develop its Gran Turismo range from the bottom up. Previously made up of four models from 40 to 50 feet, the shipyard will launch its first unit under 40 feet, the Gran Turismo 32, at the end of 2019. Here is now the Gran Turismo 36, to be discovered at the Autumn 2020 shows.

The Gran Turismo 36 is a 36-foot (11.56 m) express-cruiser offered with inboard or outboard motorization. Its deck layout has been designed to offer different living areas. At the bow, there is a large recessed sunbathing area where you can relax at anchor (with the possibility of installing a shade awning) and where you will be safe while sailing.

The open cockpit is topped with a hard-top fitted with a sunroof and houses a cockpit with two double bench seats, for four-way sailing. At the stern, the saloon gathers up to 6 guests around the table. The aft tilting backrest serves as a headrest for the sunbathing area facing the sea.

Access to the bathing platform is via a gate between the galley and the sundeck, allowing the cockpit to be completely secured. The galley is equipped with a stove, sink and refrigerator for easy meals.

Inside, the lower deck is illuminated by the long hull windows. At the forward end is the owner's cabin with a large double berth. In the centre, a saloon and a galley make it possible to continue to enjoy the boat even in bad weather. Finally, the shower room offers a shower with separate toilet.

Initially offered with an inboard 2x270 hp or 2x300 hp diesel engine, the Gran Turismo 36 will also be available in a 2x300 hp or 2x350 hp outboard version, with peak speeds between 30 and 35 knots.
