Web series / Nomad Citizen Sailing is (finally) back in France

In this new episode, direction France, and more precisely La Rochelle after a 45-hour crossing of the Bay of Biscay.

After a fright at the departure from Spain - the anchor was stuck in a rock - Daniela, Marvin and their granddaughter Tara, finally crossed the Bay of Biscay to reach France. A 45-hour navigation - two nights and two days - accompanied by dolphins and punctuated by watches.

It was in La Rochelle that the couple chose to set down their suitcases for this long-awaited first French port of call. Blocked by the Coronavirus health crisis, they were three months behind schedule on their programme, which was to spend the summer in Brittany.

After a short wait for the lock gates to open, Marvin and Daniela were finally able to reach the port. On the programme, cleaning the boat, washing, tidying up, but above all discovering the town and the three towers: Saint-Nicolas Tower, Chain Tower, Lantern Tower.

A sporty visit that allowed them to familiarize themselves with this great maritime city that is La Rochelle, but also to welcome (at last) friends on board. And thanks to this welcome help in looking after the children, Marvin and Tara try out new navigation techniques: leaving a mooring on a buoy under sail.
