Meta 50, the blue water sailing boat with a neo-retro look

The META 50 is a 16 m long sailing boat designed for long family cruises around the world. Pleasure, comfort and performance are the main characteristics of this new model.

A neo retro design

The META 50 is the result of a new design office created within the shipyard by Philippe Brabetz, the shipyard's manager and a naval architect by training.

This is the first of a series of boats with a neo-retro design: the hull has modern lines and a retro-style roof. The foredeck is voluntarily flush and long, the sheer is reversed and the roof is flat, with straight glass.

A large cockpit with several living areas

The large open cockpit offers two side helm stations, with a sunbathing area between them, covering a garage capable of accommodating a 3.30 m long rigid dinghy with engine mounted. The garage door easily converts to a swim platform and large side steps provide easy access to the water.

The very wide cockpit (5 m) is fragmented to offer several spaces. The navigation area with maneuvers is at the back, the living area with benches is positioned at the front.

A high performance and comfortable sailboat

The rigging is equipped with pushpit and half-rails, a significant safety feature in heavy weather. With its twin keel system with ballastable ballast, the Turbokeels® (designed by Philippe Brabetz and developed internally by the shipyard), the META 50 performs better than a keelboat of the same size and sail area, with less heel and a reduced draught (1.80 m).

This large family cruiser is robust, efficient and comfortable, making it easy to envisage long voyages. Built in prestressed Strongall® aluminum (like all Meta boats), the META 50's hull is very resistant and allows for a great deal of freedom in interior design. The weight of the boat is similar to that of a boat with a classic aluminum structure (smooth on torque).

A comfortable layout

The interior is also comfortable, with two double cabins at the rear, two bathrooms, a large saloon with panoramic view, an American kitchen with central island and a chart table. The large owner's cabin is located forward and has a dressing room and its own bathroom. This 16 m sailboat can also accommodate a skipper's cabin at the bow.
