A successful project
Based in the North Finistère, in the Abers region, Puffins Trek offers an innovative formula, mixing coastal cruising and light sailing. At the head of Puffins Trek, we find the dynamic Diego Le Grelle, a Belgian who fell in love with the Breton abers. Originally from Brussels, passionate about hiking, the sea and boats, Puffins Trek is the result of a project carefully thought out by Diego.
"This is an idea I have been developing for a very long time. In Belgium, we have a small coastline but a lot of inland waters. My numerous vacations by the sea gave me the taste for dinghy sailing and windsurfing. I like the playful approach of the dinghy, for the fun side. Passionate about hiking, I decided to mix the two" explains the young man.
Coastal hiking on a budget
Diego organizes all types of light sailing raids, on sailboats with well-defined specifications:
"We use very stable, safe dinghies that are accessible to the greatest number. We offer a wide range, from solo dinghies to boats capable of carrying 6 crew members
Small yacht, but big ambitions! Because the dinghy allows you to get closer to areas inaccessible to big sailboats, and allows you, for example, to bivouac on islands in the Abers region. A change of scenery guaranteed! This type of program offers an easily accessible break for one-day explorers, all for an accessible budget. The dinghy is ideal for rockhounding and is very flexible and can be easily transported to other regions.
"We adapt to our customers' requests and sail in other sailing areas, notably on the Var coast, in Corsica or even abroad. The flexibility of the dinghy and its low cost bring back a more minimalist approach to sailing and our approach to the sea" says Diego.
A shipyard dedicated to light sailing
With a very good knowledge of the world of light sailing, Diego also offers his services for the sale and maintenance of dinghies. Commissioned by his clients to find the rare bird, Diego ensures the search for the boat and its preparation. With his experience as a préparateur in several sailing race teams, Diego brings his technical know-how and will advise you on the handling of your new boat.
