A distinctive design
According to the first images, the NY40 should catch the eye with a sleek and elegant silhouette. Decked front deck, stylized bulwarks embellished with openings and very large windows, pronounced tonture, rounded windshield are the main characteristics of the NY40. Its design is reminiscent of the NY24, launched in 2019, whose design quality and level of detail we appreciated .
Quality materials, careful finishing
Its modern and sporty lines mixing nautical tradition and automotive references is signed by the Ideaeitalia studio. Great care has been taken with the finishes and materials, including teak in the shape of a chevron on the decks, in reference to the tradition of cabinet making, and mirror-polished steel, a maritime symbol. The shipyard has also used an innovative and ecological material based on sunflower oil for the internal and external surfaces of the boat, oleomalta, from Oltremateria. Some technical elements such as the engine air intakes or the anchor and cleats have been deliberately concealed to keep the lines fluid.
A customizable deck plan
The NY40 is offered in Open or T-Top versions and is available in inboard sterndrive or outboard versions. In the first configuration, there is a multifunctional platform at the rear called "Cosmo". In the center, three steps can be lowered or raised according to your needs: disembarking, diving, swimming, etc
The large sunbathing area facing the sea is the central element of the cockpit and can accommodate up to 3 people. Underneath is a storage locker and an electrically opening engine hold in the inboard version. The doors that secure the access are covered with a recycled and recyclable material made of recovered plastic.
The central dining area features folding teak tables and two facing bench seats. The removable backrests of the sundeck allow for an additional seating area. A total of 6 people can sit around the table. A bar or a complete piece of furniture can be customized by the customer: refrigerator, ice maker, electric plate, sink
The cockpit is well sheltered behind the wraparound windshield and should have technological equipment with all the navigation instruments. The layout should be both aesthetic and ergonomic. Finally, the two pilot seats can be fully customized.
The large T-Top is almost 4 m long to protect both the driver's station and the central cockpit area. The front page, which can be accessed securely through the gangways, offers a second relaxation area. On board, there are numerous storage spaces for on-board equipment and nautical toys, as well as the things needed for a cruise of several days.
A versatile interior
The interior layout is versatile and the finishes and equipment are customized. Two layout solutions are offered for the bow and the stern of the boat, offering a total of 4 different configurations. In the forward area, you can choose a double bed or a U-shaped sofa with table. In the aft area, the choice is between a double bed or two single beds that can be combined into one.
Inboard or outboard
In the standard sterndrive configuration, the NY40 gets two Volvo Penta V6 280DPS petrol engines. Three other powers between 300 and 440 hp diesel are optional. In the standard configuration of the outboard version, three Mercury V300 V8s are fitted to the transom. Two other optional powers are in the catalog, including 2x600 HP or 3x450R, all Mercury.
Estimated cruising speed with a 440 hp inboard is 35 knots, and top speed is 42 knots. Speeds that should be well exceeded with the optional outboard configurations.
