A new 10m sailing boat
After the launch of a Dufour 32 at the end of 2021, the French manufacturer will continue to develop its range from below with the Dufour 37, a cruising yacht with an overall length of 10.77 meters. This new model is designed by the Italian studio Felci Yacht Design, like the rest of the range. It succeeds the Dufour 360 . As the Dufour 470 launched in early 2021, the Dufour 37 is built in infusion. The design of the bow has been thought to offer a maximum of volume to the front, while the slightly rounded bottom of the hull should favor its passage through the sea, while reducing interior noise. The mast has been lengthened to increase the sail area by 60 m2.
Features common to the range
This model has the same characteristics of the range, namely the hull and deck windows, but also the same position of the dolphin as on the Dufour 470. The Dufour 37 has a single rudder, like the previous model, but two steering wheels, positioned at the rear of the cockpit and equipped with two flip-up benches to facilitate exit from the cockpit.
A cockpit for sailing and relaxing
The latter is equipped with a deployable transom with a life raft box and a swim ladder. A central bench seat is positioned behind the two steering wheels. When raised, it contains a plancha and a sink. The front of the cockpit offers two facing benches with a central folding table. The cockpit upholstery is inflatable and a front sundeck completes the exterior layout.
Two versions of interior design
Inside, two layouts are offered: two or three cabins with an owner's cabin at the bow. In the first version, the Dufour 37 offers a very large bathroom, a small desk that doubles as a chart table and an exterior storage locker. Six cabins are possible thanks to the square table offering two extra berths. In the second version, 8 people can sleep on board. The kitchen is positioned in both versions on the side aft of the saloon seat. The interior should be bright thanks to the large windows of hull, which have been enlarged, and roof. The headroom has also been increased in the saloon.
