Highfield launches its first dinghy with electric propulsion

In partnership with ePropulsion, the manufacturer of RIBs and aluminum-hulled tenders Highfield is launching its first 3.40 m model equipped with a 10 horsepower electric motor.

6 kW outboard motor

The Highfield Classic 340 E is equipped with a Navy 6.0 Evo ePropulsion electric outboard with 6 kW, equivalent to 9.9 horsepower. Lightweight and compact, the outboard is easy to transport, whether stored on board or on land, and can be used in both fresh and salt water.

An annex of 3.4 m

Like the rest of the Highfield range, the CL340 E has a corrosion-resistant aluminum hull. Its robustness allows it to be easily unloaded on the beach. Its floats are made of either hypalon or Neoprene. Its raised floor in the center also allows for dry sailing. With its 3.4 m length and 1.7 m width, the 340 E will comfortably accommodate up to 5 people. The dinghy also comes with a removable bench, a waterproof bag, oars and an inflator. At the front, a trunk allows to transport the stuff in the dry.

A lasting partnership

This partnership between Highfield and ePropulsion should last since Mathilde Delfour, Highfield Europe General Manager, announces future developments. In addition to their robustness, the aluminium hulls of the RIBs and tenders of the manufacturer's wide range are also recyclable. By integrating electric propulsion on its tenders, Highfield is exploring new opportunities to make boating a little less polluting.
