Yann Guichard is a French navigator born in 1974 in Paris. He discovered sailing in Brittany, on Ile aux Moines, where he had his origins, aboard an Olympic Tornado before joining the top level course of Olympic sailing. He then turned his attention to ocean racing

In parallel with all these victories, he created the Spindrift Racing team in 2012, with his partner, Dona Bertarelli among whom they are buying the maxi trimaran Spindrift 2 .
