Video of the Frégate Latouche-Tréville in a storm

This video is taken from Océans, a French documentary directed by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud whose shooting began in 2004 and then presented in theatres in 2010. Actually, it's a seasickness test.

The Latouche-Tréville frigate is a French Navy F70 anti-submarine warfare frigate. Her hull number is D 646. She is sponsored by the town of Saumur. The Latouche-Tréville frigate is based in Brest.

Originally designed to provide anti-submarine defense for a naval air group, anti-submarine warfare frigates have recently seen their above-surface capabilities greatly enhanced.

With the introduction of optronic sensors, powerful weapons and rapid deployment, we can now not only identify the threat with certainty, but also deal with it.
