Relaunching the activity of the Vedettes Sirènes

When the Drevillon brothers took over the family business, it had been sold for 22 years. It was therefore necessary to relaunch the business and bring a touch of modernity.

Boosting business

Initially, we had to put a lot of things in place for the launch of the 2014 season. " We tried to build our strategy by developing new things." With everything they needed to take over the business and modernize it, the two young men put their experience to good use, and were able to count on their father's support.

At 32, Guillaume has a background in business school. His brother Antoine studied geology and environmental management. " I managed the commercial side and the management of the business. Antoine helped me build the comments. We have a real role to play in the service" explains Guillaume.

At the same time, they have greatly developed their web presence, particularly on social networks and Trip Advisor . "We had a good season for a first year, and the weather cooperated. The objective was achieved."

Two businesses for a single activity

To simplify the business, the two brothers kept the business assets, as Jean-Gilles Guéguéniat had done before them. " We kept the Vedettes Sirènes business and that of our competitor, Vedettes Rosmeur. Today, we've reversed the trend by reducing Rosmeur's communication."

The Vedettes Sirènes fleet comprises 3 boats: Sirène I, Sirène II and Sirène III. On the Rosmeur side, there is just one boat. All in all, 2 boats are used for visits, but in summer, in July and August, three boats take turns. " The last boat is only used in case of damage."

To keep the business running, the Drevillon brothers, who are in the process of obtaining their Captain 200, hire two captains and a deckhand. " My brother and I split the deckhand and ticketing jobs. In the summer, we work with 8 people."

And in winter, don't think that the activity stops for them, as they then have to ensure the technical maintenance of the boats, winterize the equipment and prepare for the coming season...
