The French Sailing Federation has just announced the nominees for the 2015 Champions Trophies. Discover the nominees and choose your favorite. The winner will be revealed at the Nautic de Paris.

For 15 years, the FFVoile has honoured men and women who have performed well throughout the year. And this year again the successes were part of it. It will also be an opportunity to discover the sailor of the year. In 2014, the title went to Loïck Peyron, after his incredible victory in the 2014 Route du Rhum (relive Loïck Peyron's victory).

The Champions Awards ceremony will take place on December 8, during the Nautic de Paris which will take place from 4 to 13 December at Porte de Versailles in Paris. The live broadcast will also be broadcast on the FFVoile website and on Dailymotion from 6pm.

You too, participate in the votes!

Internet users will be able to vote for the 2015 sailor of the year by visiting the FFVoile website from 23 November to 6 December. The public vote will count for two votes in the final vote of the jury. It will also be used to decide between two sailors in the event of a tie.

A star of French song, president of the jury

The president of the Sailor of the Year jury will be the Breton singer, revealed by the Star Academy, Nolwenn Leroy. She will lead the discussions and will be on stage at the Nautic on December 7 to present the Sailor of the Year Award.

The nominees for Sailor of the Year 2015:

Billy Besson and Marie Riou They won the title of World Champion in Nacra 17 in Aarhus, Denmark in July. They had already won the title in 2013 and 2014 on this support, which will make its debut at the Olympic Games next year.

Pierre Le Coq In October, the 26-year-old became World Champion in RS:X windsurfing on the Oman lake. But 2015 was also the year of several successes: World Cup stage victory in Hyères and a bronze medal at the Rio Test Event this summer. François Gabart and Pascal Bidégorry : They have just won the Transat Jacques Vabre 2015 in the Ultimate category. On the trimaran Macif, just launched, the two sailors made for Itajaí (Brazil) from Le Havre in 12 days, 17 hours, 29 minutes and 27 seconds.

Vincent Riou and Sébastien Col They won the Transat Jacques Vabre in the Imoca category after 17 days of racing, on PRB, which had to compete with the new foilers. This is Vincent Riou's second consecutive victory in the Transat Jacques Vabre.

In view of the 2015 sporting calendar and the various World Championships by the beginning of December, this list may include new sailors depending on their performance.

The nominees for Best Prospect of the Year - Ouest-France Award - Sails & Sailboats :

Robin Follin and its crew of Emeric Michel, Gaulthier Germain and Marine Boudot won an SB20 World Champion title last July on Lake Garda, Italy, despite strong international competition.
