This new ship combines the spectacular architecture of the Oasis class ships with the high technology recently discovered on board the Quantum class ships.
Inaugurated in early spring 2016, Harmony of the Seas will have impressive dimensions: 227,000 gross tons, 16 passenger decks, 2,747 cabins, 5,497 passengers. Like the Oasis class ships, all the spaces on board will be divided into seven living quarters: Central Park, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, the pool area, the "Sports Zone", Vitality at Sea and Fitness Center, and the area reserved for the youngest, H2O.
Slides, water games and great thrills in the water park
The animations have been designed to suit everyone, even the youngest. The proof with the Splashaway Bay an interactive water park for children and toddlers with multiple slides and water games. For adults and teenagers, Ultimate Abyss is a ten-meter high slide to live incredible sensations along the biggest slide in the sea.
And the range of slides doesn't stop there with The Perfect Storm a trio of slides - Supercell, Typhoon and Cyclone - the first-ever open-air slides aboard a Royal Caribbean ship.
New products full of technology
Many new features will also be present on board the liner: the bar and its robot bartenders Bionic Bardancing on the Royal Promenade, the virtual balconies in many interior cabins with views of the sea and harbors; the Royal WOWBands electronic bracelets equipped with RFID technology and VOOM for high-speed Internet, unheard of at sea, for customers who want to stay connected.
Creativity in the spotlight
Many shows will be performed on the ship: live Broadway shows such as the musical Grease, innovative ice shows at Studio B, high acrobatics and aquatic performances at the Aqua Theater, and for the first time, the Puzzle Break, an interactive activity where a whole group must solve a puzzle in a dedicated space, worthy of a Hollywood studio.
The Theatre Royal is the main theater on board the Harmony of the Seas. It has 1,380 seats. The Aqua Theater offers many possibilities: high-flying diving, the acrobatic performance area, already present on the Oasis class of ships, two 10-meter high platforms, and a hydraulic pool, the largest and deepest freshwater pool at sea, will serve as podiums for high-flying dives.
