The 900 Nautics of Saint-Tropez open for solo sailors (March 10 to 20)


The 900 Nautiques de Saint-Tropez are organized from March 10 to 20, 2016 in the bay of Saint-Tropez for a course going to Italy. For this 7th edition, the regatta is open to solo sailors, for a course of 400 Nautical.

The 7 e edition of the 900 Nautiques de Saint-Tropez will take place from March 10 to 20, with a race start on March 12, 2016. Organized by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, this Mediterranean race usually reserved for crews will be open this year to solo sailors with a suitable course of 400 Nautical.

The âeuro registrations opened in November 2015 âeuros met with great success, as the âeuro spots initially numbering 30 were filled quickly. With this new race system, the race management and the organizer had preferred to reduce the number of entries to 30, but the enthusiasm of the participants forced the SNST to review the number of participating units. What course?

The yachts of the category "team" or "solo" will realize a course of different distance âeuros 900 Nautical miles for the first and 400 Nautical miles for the second âeuros at the departure and at the arrival of Saint-Tropez. The boats will have to mark several compulsory passage points. Two courses are programmed (for each category) and it is the direction of the race and the organizer who will choose the one that will be retained as well as its direction of rotation according to the meteorological conditions.

900 Nautiques de Saint-Topez 2015 edition

Who is participating?

The regatta is open to IRC-rated monohulls with a minimum TCC of 1,000 in "crewed" and 0.980 in "solo" and to Multi 2000-rated multihulls in "crewed." It will also be necessary to hold a FFVoile license for French nationals.

What's special about it?

The 900 Nautiques de Saint-Tropez are registered in the UNCL calendar of events of the 2016 Offshore IRC Crew and Single-handed Championship. The first three winners of the race (the podium) will win a cash prize.

For a class between 5 and 10 boats, the 1 er will get 2500 euros, the 2 e 1500 euros and the 3 e 500 euros.

For a class of more than 10 boats, the 1 er will get 5000 euros, the 2 e 3000 euros and the 3 e 1000 euros

For a class of more than 5 boats, the first boat in real time "solo" and "crew" will be offered a prize of 1000 euros.
