Plastimo announces a range of inflatable fenders. This French safety specialist has a good experience in the inflatable field with his range of life rafts and life jackets.
The fenders, available in 5 sizes, offer the advantage of light weight and can be stored without taking up too much space. While inflatable fenders are usually reserved for yachts, this range, which starts with 50 cm products, is aimed at almost all boaters.
The black outer cover is made of highly abrasion-resistant polyester and coated with polyurethane. Three straps for fixing are sewn along the entire length of the cover for increased tear resistance. A strap sewn at the bottom of the cover allows the fender to be used horizontally (double fixing). The inner tube is made of black heat-sealed PVC (thickness 0.9 mm).
The recommended pressure is 0.25 bar, i.e. a pressure accessible by any tender inflator (manual or electric).
Reminder: For good efficiency, a fender should be about 2/3 of the height of the freeboard of your boat.
