Maintenance of canvas for hoods and biminis

Condoms or biminis don't require much maintenance. Their worst aggressor is the sun. The fabrics are treated to protect themselves. On your side, a simple regular rinse is required.

Essential precautions for proper use.

Tension the canvases vigorously before each trip at sea: a good tension avoids any annoyance such as vibrations or noise, but above all tire less the canvases and frames.

Check not only the fixings of the fittings on the bridge, but also the points of rotation.

When not in use (at anchor or when wearing), also check the tension of the canvas. If they come to beat, they will quickly wear out.

During long periods of non-use, store your canvas in a dry and dry place. You will prolong their lifespan, the quality of the coating (impermeability) and will thus avoid any bad surprise like a beginning of moulds.
