Still in order to revitalise the Paris Boat Show, which had lost some of its lustre in recent years, the organisation continues to unveil its actions. After the creation of a Ciné Nautic, the Paris Boat Show will welcome a new area called "Welcome on Board" with the free visit of 5 sailing boats. To be discovered from 2 to 10 December 2017, Porte de Versailles.

Attract new visitors to the show

"Only 15% of people who come at Nautic visit a boat, when almost all of them would like to. This frustration discourages many from returning. So we need to increase the number of visits, by increasing the number of boats accessible, even if it means the Nautic taking care of it" explained Alain Pichavant general Manager of Nautic Festival SA, on Boatindustry .

With this in mind, the Nautic organizers have decided to develop a new area where 5 sailboats can be visited freely. After the Ciné Nautic management is keen to maximize the new spaces to (re)win the hearts of visitors. For years, satisfaction surveys have shown that new visitors are obliged to admire the hulls from the ground, rather than walking the decks of the sailboats and motorboats on display. To visit, it is often necessary to have made an appointment in advance, or to already be in contact with the shipyards. " A contradiction in terms for an activity based on passion, where desire and dreams are the primary driving forces..." says the organization in a press release.

5 sailboats for free visit

In Hall 1, the "Welcome aboard" platform will enable visitors to step onto the decks of the boats on display and tour them freely. Five yachts will be on display in this area:

Visit sailing yachts, but not only...

You can also visit a legendary boat, Pen Duick III, Éric Tabarly's schooner. The famous yachtsman won numerous races in the late sixties, from the Fastnet Race to Sydney-Hobart. This yacht, which has undoubtedly sailed the world's oceans the most, can be visited during the 9 days of the Paris International Boat Show.
