Click&Boat is a startup created in 2013. Originally, it brought together boat owners and potential tenants, a kind of Airbnb of the boat. Since 2018, to offer more destinations, Click&Boat has been open to professionals. In some countries such as the Seychelles, Cuba, Croatia... the supply of private boats for rent is poor or even prohibited. By agreeing to work with professional rental companies, Click&Boat opens these destinations to its customers.
Today, with 22,000 boats on offer (around 12,000 private individuals and 10,000 pro), Click&Boat is the largest player on this market. For greater clarity for the tenant, the ads are identified as coming from a professional or a private individual. No surprises when it comes to choosing!
Individuals and professionals, disparate fleets
While professionals have fairly similar fleets with standardised boats (many cabins, large volume of water, standardised equipment, etc.), private individuals offer very disparate boats of all sizes for hire, often well equipped. In addition to an often advantageous price (a private individual charges the price he or she wants), private individuals often offer greater flexibility on dates, offer short periods even in season and ensure a good level of friendliness with the tenant.

Click&Boat, much more than a simple networking agency
By renting a boat through a rental agency, it is not the agency that will take care of finding a replacement boat in case of a problem, it is the lessor with whom it works to solve the problem (which it usually does).
In the case of a private lessor, who only owns one boat, one can wonder how he will manage the thing if his boat is unavailable? With Click&Boat, no problem, it is the site that is responsible for finding a replacement boat of the same category or larger, but at the same price.
This platform supports its customer throughout the booking phase, but also during and after the rental period.
An international project
Click&Boat's crew consists of 40 employees on a barge in the Paris region. With customer service open 7 days a week, it is the assurance of finding a contact person to talk to.
Not only are the employees sailors or tourism experts, but they also speak many languages. Today the site is available in 5 languages (French, English, Spanish, Italian and German) to which Polish and Dutch will be added in 2018. The plant does work with a very international population.
Strong growth in sight
With growth doubling every year (in number of tenants as well as in turnover), Click&Boat has planned to hire 15 new employees for 2018. Always to better serve its customers!
More than 40000 comments
Best of all, all the rentals can be completed with a commentary. The lessee indicates if the boat - and the lessor! - has met its expectations, while the lessor also leaves a comment on its lessee (a comment that will be read by future lessors). These comments - which can only be left on the site once the rental has been paid and completed - are guaranteed to be valid (no purchased or free comments...). Their reading gives a good indication of the boat before clicking to rent it.
