The historically British shipyard Sealine - which now belongs to the Hanse Yachts Group - will premiere at Cannes (September 2018) the Sealine S330v, an outboard version of its successful cruiser sport S330.

The Sealine shipyard (acquired in 2013 by the Hanse Yachts group) is launching its first outboard launch model, the Sealine S330v, a version of the Sealine S330 until then proposed an inboard. Although this is the first time Sealine has launched an outboard model, the German manufacturer is not at its first attempt since it presented the Fjord 36' XPress in Cannes in 2017 and that a 38 X'press is currently under construction.

Today, the trend is clearly towards outboard motorization of cruise units (about 10 m), such as Jeanneau with its leader range or Parker Monaco with its Monaco 110 . And when you ask the shipyard why go into the outboard market, that's his answer "Times are changing, outboard engines are becoming more powerful, more efficient and quieter than they used to be." explains Florian Nierich, Head of Marketing and Communication.

The Sealine S330v will therefore receive two 700 HP outboard engines (2x350 HP Mercury Verao or 2x300 HP) and should reach a maximum speed of 38 knots. If the shipyard has chosen to adapt its sports cruising model, it is because the Sealine S330 inboard is the most successful model in its category. By offering this outboard version, the shipyard will be able to reach a new public.

We find about the same layout with a spacious cockpit protected by a sport - top housing an outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and a sink. Two beautiful cabins, a saloon with kitchen and a bathroom complete the layout. Sporty, the Sealine S330v is also comfortable with large sunbathing on the sundeck and in the cockpit with a convertible saloon.

"The layout remains basically the same. However, the old engine compartment is now replaced by a large storage room with access from the cockpit. This means that, basically, a quarter of the boat is dedicated to storage." explains Florian.

However, it was necessary to make some modifications to the boat to accommodate these new engines, as detailed by the marketing manager: "We have modified the rear deck and the electrical mechanisms have been adapted, as have the fuel tanks, which require a different installation than diesel engines."

While the inboard model with 2 x 220 HP Volvo D3 cost nearly 198,000 euros, the Sealine S330v starts at 134,950 euros excluding VAT, to which 59,000 euros (2x300 CH) or 69,000 euros (2x350 CH) of engines must be added.
