At the origins of the company, an all-leather boot model appeared. Then in the early 2000s, this model evolved in particular in its waterproofing with the adoption of a breathable membrane. The Fypper boot was born.
An injected sole that is tighter and stronger
For 2018, this model is evolving with a brand new sole. The latter, which was previously sewn and glued, is now injected directly onto the boot. The sole is made of two materials. The PU first ensures the boot is glued to the boot and a perfect seal. Then comes the rubber sole to ensure the best grip.
Rubber for grip
Botalo has worked on the quality of the rubber of the outsole so that it is not too soft (so as not to wear out too quickly), nor too hard to keep a good grip. Treated as on safety shoes, this rubber resists to temperatures of 300°C and is not afraid of hydrocarbons.
The designs under the sole are of the "car tire" type to evacuate water well.
Genuine leather boots
On Fypper boots, the footwear is made of leather. It is a leather specially treated to resist seawater. The advantage of leather is that it "forms" around the foot. In addition, leather offers good thermal insulation.
The stem is made of 2 materials. Either the same leather or Cordura fabric (an extremely abrasion-resistant fabric). The Cordura version is lighter, does not load up with water when wet and is slightly cheaper than leather.
Very comfortable boots
The stem is deliberately low to accept all types of calves. The insole is removable (for drying or replacement). It is made of materials that provide abrasion resistance, absorb and wick away perspiration, are breathable, and offer good thermal regulation
This boot is available in 2 colours: brown or black for the all-leather model (219,00 euros) and black for the model with the Cordura upper (199,00 euros).
