Special Edition / A Furuno multifunction display for all boat sizes

Small in size, the Furuno GP1871F and GP1971F will be ideal companions for small power boats as well as larger sailboats. Indeed, these multifunctional displays offer all the features available at Furuno.

No, Furuno does not only produce devices for wealthy boaters! With its range of multifunction plotters, the Japanese manufacturer shows that it can also interest owners of smaller units without compromising product quality and performance. The GP1871F and GP1971F are distinguished by their 7-inch and 9-inch screens in landscape mode respectively. These devices combine a GPS, a map reader, a sounder and can even connect to a radar!

The interface is 100% tactile (no button). The menus are the same as on the TZ Touch devices that are the strength of Furuno. They are practical and intuitive.

1 equipment, 2 sonar technologies: TruEcho CHIRP? and RezBoost

The GP1871F & GP GP1971F plotters integrate the 2 best technologies of the moment according to the choice of the probe:

  • The TruEcho technology CHIRP?, which can be used with CHIRP probes from 300W to 1kW, will give you excellent fish detection sensitivity.

This is a state-of-the-art technology for professionals and enlightened boaters that allows better echo discrimination by simultaneously analyzing targets with variable frequencies.

  • RezBOOST technology combined with ACCU-FISH and Bottom Discrimination functions, will allow you to benefit from excellent detection quality with a standard 50/200 kHz probe.

RezBoost is the signal processing technology developed by FURUNO. It increases resolution and discrimination with the use of a conventional probe. This function simplifies the discrimination of each echo in a school of fish and makes it possible to distinguish between forage fish and predators. Locate fish individually when they are close to the bottom. With RezBoost, not only can you expect a higher level of sharpness and resolution.

Accu-fish with fish size

ACCU-FISH is a fish size determination function on GP1871F & GP1971F and is specific to FURUNO for individually assessing the size of a fish. ACCU-FISH can detect fish sizes between 10 and 199 cm, at depths from 2 to 100 m. Different symbols can be used to display each echo returned by the detected fish. The function Discrimination iscrimination iscrimination of bottom of GP1871F & GP1971F indicates whether the nature of the bottom is mainly composed of rocks, gravel, sand or mud. This bottom discrimination function is invaluable for positioning yourself on the best bottom for your type of fishing or looking for the best anchorage area.

A C-Map card reader

The GP screen displays C-Map 4D Max+ mapping with 3D display, satellite images and Easy Routing (automatic routing that takes into account the coastline and creates a route based on the boat's draught).

A Wifi radar

Connected to the DRS4W Wifi radar, GP plotters can display the radar image, but also offer overlay (superimposition of the radar image on the map). Thus equipped, the boat is ready for the high seas.

Connections provided for other solutions

Even if they are not network configurable, GP displays can connect to the autopilot. AIS targets can also be displayed on the map. Indeed, GP devices can be connected in NMEA0183 or 2000. In addition with Wifi access, you will be able to load weather files when you are within network range and use them in your navigation.
