Special Edition / Raymarine Element, a range of dedicated fishfinders for fishing

Sonar and card reader, Raymarine's Element range comes with features that make fishermen look pale. Simple, accessible, fast and efficient, these sonar/plotter combos should quickly find their place on fishermen's consoles.

Raymarine develops electronic products for fishermen. After the Dragonfly range designed for small boats with 4, 5 and 7 inch screens, this manufacturer launches the Element range which follows with 7, 9 and 12 inch screens.

Element sounders are combo devices (sounders and mapping). For the mapping part, they integrate a GPS and display Navionics and C-Map maps. Their screen is not touch-sensitive and all functions are accessible via the keyboard and the 3 programmable function keys. Touch screen users know how difficult it is sometimes to access menus in rough seas, the keys on a keyboard are much more efficient for this purpose. In addition, Raymarine believes that we have better things to do than to look at the instructions for use each time the appliance is turned on. Thus the settings are simple, automatic and fast.

Each user will define the profiles he needs during a fishing day (mapping, trailing, throwing, searching for fish...). Each profile has its own settings. Switching from one profile to the other is done in no time at all so that you always have your machine set to the best possible setting at the right time.

A dedicated range of fishing products

The Element range plays the card of the high-performance fishing depth sounder. By increasing the frequency by 3 of the CHIRP probe, we obtain an ultra realistic definition of the background image. Indeed, with a 1.2 megahertz depth sounder, we gain in definition. Algae and fish are precisely discerned. Raymarine has named this technology Hypervision. To process this signal, Raymarine equips its range with a very powerful four-core processor (the same as the top-of-the-range Axiom processor).

Raymarine Element

A unique and universal probe

The Element range is available with a Raymarine CHIRP probe that offers DownVision, SideVision and 3D RealVision in the same equipment. Thus it is possible to draw the bottom in 3D, to see on the sides or under the boat with precision.

Raymarine also proposes to create its own bathymetry. But rather than partnering with a paid system (as Navionics offers), Raymarine lets each user save their own tracks and probe readings. They are stored on the camera or on an SD card.

Raymarine Element

An affordable range

Located between the Dragonfly range (entry-level) and the top-of-the-range Axiom, the Element range is offered at an aggressive price. It is aimed at all boat users who are not looking for an evolutive device - no radar or possibility to connect the devices to each other with Element - but who want precise and fast equipment to track fish efficiently for fishing.
