This textile fender manufacturer based in northern France relies on its tubular knitting know-how. This is the Jacquard knitting technique which makes it possible to produce very resistant tubes with 2 polyester yarns.
The tube allows a polyurethane inner tube with very high elasticity to be held in the centre. This chamber does not in any way contribute to the resistance of the fender. Inflated at low pressure (350 Mb), it just maintains the shape of the textile surrounding it.
This technical braided textile is divided into three parts. In the centre is a polyester with very high mechanical and abrasion resistance. Very strong, it is also UV resistant with a yarn dyed in the mass. The upper and lower parts of the tube close the fender and also incorporate a low elasticity wire to compensate for the increase in air volume caused by temperature variations. A sewn-on strap holds a stainless steel ring in place to secure the fixing rope.

On the decoration side, the 2 woven parts of the fender can be of different colours. But the central part woven with continuous thread is plain and cannot be embroidered so as not to alter the solidity of the whole. By folding very small, the inflatable fenders can be stored in small spaces. Fendertex even offers a bag to hold all the fenders on the same boat. An anecdote, this bag is made with the unused falls that make up the fender tube.
