If you want a canvas to protect you from the sun or bad weather, it is common to go see your master sailmaker on the fine harbour to define with you a model, a color and a shape. But you can also switch, as in ready-to-wear, to a universal model.
With a range of biminis and ready-to-install sunshades, Orangemarine meets the expectations of many recreational boat users. Whether motor boats (rigid or semi-rigid hull) or sailboats, the Orangemarine range is available in several structural qualities and fabrics.
Indeed, the tubes of a bimini can be made of aluminium or stainless steel (stronger and more rigid). The fabrics will be basic with 2 colors, or tried in the mass to better resist over time.
There are 3 ranges of biminis at Orangemarine:
- Brushed aluminium ("white" finish) in 2, 3 and 4 hoops. Basic UV protection fabric (therefore no specific guarantee other than the legal one). Available in 2 colours: White or Blue
- Anodized and reinforced aluminium (diam 25 mm) with a fabric dyed in the mass and guaranteed 3 years against UV fading (available in 2, 3 or 4 hoops) and 2 colours: Navy blue or beige
- 316 stainless steel (diam 25 mm) with white or navy blue fabric available only in 3 hoops (The fabric is the same as the one used on brushed aluminium).
Of course the prices vary according to the quality since the price of a basic bimini starts at 100 euros and ends at 400 euros (25 mm stainless steel tubes and connectors and fabric dyed in the mass guaranteed 3 years).
For sailboats that do not want to have metal superstructures that can interfere with the mainsail, there is still the sun canopy solution that can be installed by leaning on the boom. The cover is positioned above the boom thanks to a zip that allows the topping lift to pass freely. Available in 3 colours and 4 sizes, this rectangular fabric attaches to the dies with brass eyelets on either side of the fabric. If the fabric (600 denier) is UV resistant, it is also treated for rain with a water-repellent finish.
