Sébastien Rogues made his classes in Mini 6.50, then in Class40 before spending several years on the GC32 circuit, a catamaran with technological foils. At 33, he has already proven himself and won several fine victories, notably in the Transat Jacques Vabre 2013, of which he is still the youngest winner, Les Sables Horta Les Sables in 2013 and the Transat Québec Saint-Malo in Class40 in 2012, where he finished third.

For the next two years, we will be meeting the skipper in the Multi50. With his Primonial sponsor, he will be able to use his multihull experience on his trimaran, which is none other than the former Réauté-Chocolat, winner of the 2018 Route du Rhum in the hands of Armel Tripon.

On board, he will race the Transat Jacques Vabre in October 2019 and the Quebec Saint-Malo with a crew in 2020. Before that, Sébastien Rogues plans to compete in the various Grand Prix events scheduled for August and September to take control of his new machine and prepare to face the big names on the circuit.

"I have two real passions: the multihulls and the high level technology that these boats require on the one hand and ocean racing, the only way to bring certain emotions to a climax... To go in a Multi50 is to reconcile these two passions. In the long term, foils will be fitted to all racing boats. By going to the best of the best in the business, I was taking an option on the future." says the skipper.
