Recommendations for a Zen wetting

To avoid any problems at anchor and leave your boat for a stopover ashore or sleep soundly, here are some safety tips to get you wet.

Choose a protected and sufficiently deep place and check the coming weather conditions and tides to adapt your anchorage
Do not stick to other boats and provide space for your boat to rotate freely on its anchor.
Do not wet along a leeward coast

Provide an additional hawser in case you have to replace the one usually used
If you have planned a long cruise and many anchorages, bring a complete spare anchor (anchor, chain and hawser)

This advice may seem rudimentary, but make sure your anchor is properly attached to the boat before throwing it overboard.
Lower your anchor slowly into the water
Leave the hawser free of any movement
Do not leave the boat without checking that your anchor is properly hooked
If you have any doubts about your anchorage, do not hesitate to dive to inspect the anchor's good hold
Adjust the length of your anchorage according to the wind force. When the wind strengthens, we extend the anchor.
In case of bad weather, check that there is no raging against a forceps or a fairlead, to prevent your hawser from breaking.
