For this adaptable textile range, Accastillage Diffusion relies on 2 fabrics that will be distributed under 2 finishes Ripstop and Premium.
The Ripstop range uses a 600 denier 100% polyester fabric. It is sealed by a PU coating. Very tear-resistant and UV treated to withstand the test of time.
Premium products are built on a 310 g/m² 100% acrylic fabric. Designed for a special marine use, it offers excellent resistance to UV rays and the marine environment. The seams are made of 100% polyester yarn of very high tenacity.
Adaptable mainsail covers
The mainsail covers are available in 2 finishes: Ripstop and Premium. In grey fabric, they are available for booms ranging from 2.50 to 4.05 m (new sizes to come in 2020). The attachment under the boom and along the mast is ensured by closed straps with an adjustable buckle.
The protection of sails (day and night) is very important for their longevity. If the sailboat is not equipped with a lazybag, it is important to always install the cover as soon as you are in port or at anchor.

Lazybag for easy lowering and storage
For the lazybag, a kind of bag that holds and protects the mainsail, there is no question of choosing the right fabric. Indeed, this one is made with Premium fabric. Always grey, it closes on top with a large zip. From below, it can be adapted to the main sails with free edge as well as endraillée (zip underneath to allow the edge to pass through). In case of a free edge, the lazybag can be put into the boom.
To protect well, the nose is removable to release the lazybag while sailing. Adjustable straps adjust it along the mast. There are openings for the passage of reef bumps. The lazybag is held open by 2 12 mm rods that are adapted to the length of the boom.
This model is available for booms from 2.90 to 5.25 m (from 279 to 449 euros)
Sunshades
The sunshades are rectangular. It fits on the sailboat thanks to a zip closure in the center. Thus it is possible to let the boom topping lift pass through to cover the aft of the cockpit. Gussets for installing cross slats are sewn at both ends. For fixing all around the cover, polyester strap eyes are sewn in.
These covers are available in both Ripstop and Premium finishes. They are grey.
