Les Admos, Fatales Caraïbes, a story of a summer in Cuba

In this autobiographical novel, we find Dominique Montésinos and his wife sailing on their motor catamaran in the West Indies. A sparkling and humorous story that describes life at sea when you are homeless.

Reading the title, "Les Admos, Fatales Carïbes", one would think that Domi Montésinos' novel will take us on the trail of the corsairs for a magnificent sea adventure. But it's not. It's just a question of following this couple with their atypical life - and life choices - during their peregrinations in the West Indies, mainly around Cuba.

Dominique Montésinos and his wife are unconditional fans of boat and catamaran travel. After selling the sailing catamaran Catafjord on which they sailed around the world in 7 years ( see the previous story in 3 volumes Mamilou and Grandfather in shorts around the world ), they tacked to buy and largely transform a motor catamaran (transformation that we have presented you in this series "La belle et le bouchon gras".. ).

Because Dominique likes to tell stories. Not that he thinks he's Victor Hugo, but he handles the pen (rather the keyboard) and humour without any restraint. To tell the story of this motorized cruise to Cuba, the author this time chooses pseudonyms for his characters. But even (badly) hidden behind these false names, it is the same ones that we follow to tell the story of the sailing and the stopovers around the island. As usual, Dominique Montésinos prefers to write short postcards to describe the moment and the situation. Each part can be read independently.

As usual, the author handles with undisguised pleasure puns that are not always in good taste, but always assumed. The joy of life, the pleasure of being at sea, the taste of difference, all this transpires in the reading of this book. But why Admos? I'll let you discover it while reading these refreshing pages.
