Boot Düsseldorf 2020, change in the exhibition halls

In order to improve visitor services and satisfy exhibitors as much as possible, the Boot 2020 organization has rearranged the visitor area. Here's where to find the different universes at the world's largest boat show, which will take place from 18 to 26 January 2020.

In just a few years, Boot Düsseldorf has become the largest boat show in the world. Every year in January, international exhibitors and visitors meet in Germany for the big boating fair. Sailboats, motorboats, equipment, superyachts, fishing, tourism, etc. All sectors are represented.

To enhance the visitor experience and satisfy exhibitors, this year's show features a new visitor route and new halls

Hall 1: Motor Yachts from 30 to 60 feet

The new Hall 1 - the former Halls 1 and 2 have been demolished - which offers 12?000 m2 of exhibition space, will this year be the venue for the exhibition of medium-sized inboard motoryachts between 30 and 60 feet (10 to 20 meters). Brands such as Jeanneau, Bénéteau, Bavaria, Sealine or Greenline will be present. Large steel trawlers from Dutch production, such as those from the Linssen yard, will also be on display in this hall.

Hall 3: Motorboats for beginners and water recreation

In this hall you will find outboard motorboats for water recreation, but also for beginner boaters. In some countries, such as Germany, it is even possible to drive certain models with less than 15 horsepower without a nautical licence.

The "Start Boating" area will be dedicated to new boaters, where experts will give theoretical and practical advice to get started in motorboating and prepare for your first navigations.

Hall 4: Pleasure boats and tenders

In this hall, you will find manufacturers of powerboats over 10 m long, such as Axopar, Nimbus or Sessa.

Halls 5, 6 and 7: Pure luxury with tenders and superyachts

Hall 5 is dedicated to the growing sector of luxury tenders, chaseboats and shadows boats (support boats that carry the nautical equipment of large yachts). New this year, you will also find the whole universe of "superboats", luxurious, fast, innovative and elegant boats. Bags, Wally, Frauscher, DeAntonio, Boesch, Fjord, Windy and Van Dutch will present their latest models in this sector.

Chaseboats and shadow boats are becoming very trendy, and not only for superyacht owners. The luxurious equipment of such a boat can be chosen entirely according to the owner's wishes.

Hall 6 remains the space dedicated to the luxury sector. The major shipyards in the superyacht industry are represented here. The luxurious marinas are also installed in the gallery of Hall 6: Venice or Porto Novi in Montenegro.

Hall 7a completes the space dedicated to luxury with the superyacht show.

Hall 7: Maritime Art

In this hall, visitors will be able to contemplate everything related to maritime art: representations of ocean scenes, maritime photographs and sculptures.

Hall 8a: The spotlight for all surfers

This hall is dedicated to the world of snow sports: The Wave, swimming pool and many renowned manufacturers and retailers offer you the whole world of snow sports. This space also contains the "Beach World". This is the place where water sports enthusiasts meet to go surfing, kitesurfing or stand-up paddle with the local stars. The 65 m long swimming pool is at the south end of the hall, while the Wave is to the north.

Halls 9, 10 and 11: The widest choice of RIBs, tenders, accessories, inboard engines and equipment

The latest developments in the field of tyres and semi-rigids, as well as all kinds of annexes, can be found in Hall 9. The rest of this universe will be spread across halls 9, 10 and one from hall 11.

In hall 11 - dedicated to the world of diving - you will find the "Love Your Ocean" area. Water sports enthusiasts and divers are sensitive to the protection of the oceans and will be able to find sustainable solutions and products in this area.

Hall 13 and 14: Nautical tourism

The "Travel Word" highlights the most beautiful holiday destinations by the sea or near the lakes. There are rental agencies, marinas, barge rentals, hotels, cruise lines and tourist offices that will help you find your next waterfront vacation.

Hall 11 and 12: The largest universe dedicated to diving

The Düsseldorf Boot is the world's largest trade fair dedicated to scuba diving. 400 exhibitors will present a unique cross-section of the industry. World players in the field will be present, such as Aqua Lung, Mares and Cressi who will present their latest innovations.

26% of the visitors to the show are divers or are interested in this hobby. The "Dive Center" in hall 12 is a popular attraction for discovering diving. Films, destinations, interviews, advice will be distilled throughout the show. Guillaume Néry will also be present to talk about his prowess.

The "Water Pixel Word" in hall 11 completes this world of diving by presenting all the latest developments and innovations in the field of filming and underwater photography.

Halls 15 to 17: the world of sailing

Sailing is how people first travelled across oceans, seas and rivers. The three halls will be home to major groups such as Bénéteau, Hanse, Bavaria, Hallberg-Rassy and other shipyards renowned for larger yachts such as Oyster, CNB and Nautors Swan.

Alongside more recent construction sites such as Bente, you will find a complete range of products on offer worldwide. Sailing personalities will also be present at the show, such as Sir Robin Knox-Johnston.

Like the motorboat, there will be a "Start Sailing" area in hall 15 where aspiring sailors can get expert advice.
