Dolphin Prolite, all-weather, all-environment battery chargers

With its Prolite range of chargers, the French manufacturer Dolphine offers a battery charger adapted to small sport boats. A range distributed in France by VDM-Reya.

Starting from a blank sheet of paper, it is possible to imagine the ideal product. This is what Dolphin, a French brand specialized in battery chargers, has done with its new Prolite range.

To design this charger, the brand has brought together the most interesting features of the various chargers on the market. To bring them all together in a single model. Thus the new Dolphin Prolite has no real competition. None of the existing models meet all the characteristics with a single model.

For its Prolite charger, Dolphin wanted :

  • A compact loader
  • Quiet operation
  • A real seal
  • Meet the ISO 8846 standard which allows installation in machine rooms
  • A Bluetooth connection to monitor the charge with your mobile

Thus armed with all these characteristics, the Dolphin range becomes the perfect companion of the semi-rigid (especially if this one is largely equipped with electronic material of fishing), of the motorboat type Fishing or the small sailboat. The range is currently available with a 15 and a 25. A. A range that should grow even more for the next season.

Note that this charger has been chosen by the SNSM to equip its RIBs. A guarantee of resistance to all-terrain use

Compact and quiet

With a technology that does not require a fan for cooling, the Dolphin Prolite charger is really small. The 15A weighs 1,4 kg (1,7 kg for the 25A) and takes up only 142x72x194 mm (142x72x244 mm for the 25A). It can be easily placed in the console of a semi-rigid or an open hull. This charger is truly fanless. Contrary to some models which have a fan which starts only from a certain temperature. Here the cooling is provided by convection, the anodized aluminum case serves as a heat sink. Thus the silence in operation is total and one can also install it in a cabin without embarrassment during the night.

Technology for a perfect load

The electronic switching technology (LLC) ensures a 92% power conversion without altering the amperage. It is an electronically regulated charger whose intelligence triggers the charging phases according to the state of the battery. So there is no risk in leaving it plugged in all winter. On the contrary, it is designed to maintain the charge without damaging the battery. Note that this model works with all battery technologies, including lithium models.

Integrated wiring and protection

No risk next to the fuel tank

The ISO 8846 standard provides protection against flammable gases. By complying with this standard, the charger can be installed in a machine room, even if it contains flammable fuel such as petrol for example. This charger is therefore perfectly suited to a locker where the outboard tank is located, for example.

A mobile application

The free application for mobile phones allows all the settings of the charger (choice of the charging curve), but also to read the voltages at the terminals of the battery or the history of the alarms... In addition the application allows to stop or start the charger (on/off). The application works when you are within range of the charger and when it is powered by 230 V.

Available in the VDM-Reya network

Historically, Dolphin chargers are available through VDM-Reya dealers. This is the case for the Prolite range which is offered at 219 euros HT (15 A dual outputs) and 299 euros HT (25 A triple outputs).
