Iridium® Go! To make calls and download gribs files
For almost 25 years, E-SAT has been marketing the products and services of leading satellite communications operators, including Iridium®. Today's navigators use Iridium® 9555 and 9575 cell phones and the original Iridium® Go! terminal to stay in touch with their loved ones, but above all to retrieve their gribs files and anticipate the weather. The original Iridium® Go! comes with a unique package offering unlimited data access at 2.4 kbps (you can download 1 MB in 1 hour). Sailors' needs are changing, and they're looking for more powerful equipment with higher throughput to make their navigation smoother, and support weather and instant messaging applications that are becoming more resource-hungry. Iridium® understands this, and has enhanced its range with the new Iridium® Go! Exec TM, which takes into account users' need for comfort and security: larger screen, integrated antenna and battery, touch screen and secure Wi-Fi connection... All the while guaranteeing the robustness of the device.
Iridium® Go! exec TM for Internet at sea
Thanks to the IRIDIUM® NEXT constellation, the operator has extended its offer to include 100, 200 and 700 Kbps services, using new, more compact terminals. The Iridium® Go! Exec TM is the latest addition to the Iridium® CERTUS® range. This new service enables voice communication and, above all, connection to the Internet at up to 88 Kbit/s, with a connection to the Iridium® network in less than 5 seconds. You can now download and send files freely at 40 times the speed, and directly use applications whose profile is pre-registered in the Menu: WhatsApp, Gmail, Twitter... The touch screen and intuitive menu make it easy to set up and access data. The connection is optimized and the user can define session durations.
The Iridium® Go! Exec TM works with a SIM card and new services combining voice minutes and megabytes (downloads and uploads). IP Internet connections are no longer billed by the minute, but according to the volume exchanged in megabytes. Last but not least, users can now easily track their consumption during their connection, directly from the device menu.
A transportable box that can be connected to an external antenna
For better signal quality, especially indoors at the chart table, users can connect the Iridium® Go! ExecTM to an external antenna via an offset cable. An optional kit is available. The Iridium® Go! execTM integrates a loudspeaker and a headset connection. The whole unit is highly resistant to IP65. The battery has long autonomy, and an interface on the case allows you to recharge other equipment. It's also very user-friendly: your Smartphone can easily connect to this Wi-Fi box to access your address book and applications, among other things. All you need to do is download the Iridium® Go! Exec TM applications (iOS and Android).
Packages to suit your projects
There is no minimum commitment period, and subscriptions can be taken out on a month-by-month basis. Packages range from 25 minutes of communication and 25 megabytes per month up to one gigabyte, usable at any time during the year. Iridium® does not yet offer unlimited or prepaid packages. As an Iridium® partner, E-SAT manages your entire line for you: activation of your SIM card, parameterization and configuration support if required, renewal of your subscription and monthly reporting of your communications. E-SAT also offers a supervision and control service for your SIM card.
