For the past few years, the motor multihull market has been on the upswing. With moderate speeds, reasonable fuel consumption and maximum autonomy, they now make it possible to envisage blue water cruising. Here is our selection of power trimaran catamarans for the year 2021.

Aventura 10 Power

The Aventura 10 Power is a power catamaran designed for cruising thanks to its interior layout that can accommodate up to 4 cabins in a boat of less than 10 m! In 2019, a new version has been launched by the Aventura Catamaran shipyard: Cockpit Saloon with a large bench seat on the back.

With an engine range of 2x110 HP to 2x250 HP, the Aventura Power 10 offers a cruising speed of around 10 knots.

Voltaire 33 Sky

The Voltaire 33 Sky is the first model of the new German-American shipyard Voltaire Electric Yachts. This dayboat&nbsp,catamaran plays the card of luxury and comfort on board with several relaxation areas, a toilet and a small kitchen cabinet. The boat has two Deep Blue engines with a total power of 100 kW and two 42 kWh BMW i3 batteries to power the engines and the energy needs on board. Finally, it is built in flax fibre composite with bio epoxy resin.

Powercat 38

The Powercat 38 is the first motor catamaran from C-Catamarans. The idea is to sail while reducing fuel consumption. Thus, with 2X90 HP, the boat reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots, for a fuel consumption of 14L/hour.

The Powercat 38 is offered in several layout versions: 2 to 4 cabins plus two heads. The cockpit is on the same level as the saloon and offers plenty of living space, as does the flybridge, which can be enjoyed both at anchor and while sailing.

C-Cat 40 PowerFish

This model is based on the design of the C-Cat 37, but with a few differences: a new large hull window, a longer length to support a larger engine, and a cockpit with an extendable swim platform. Many features will delight anglers, such as rod holders throughout the cockpit and a stabilizer. Finally, it is equipped with a "Fishing tower".

Bali Catspace MY

After the launch of the sailing Catspace in January 2020, the manufacturer Bali Catamarans declines its 40-foot model in motor version. The outdoor living spaces are very numerous with a huge deck saloon at the front, a cockpit protected by the flybridge structure, offering a beautiful farniente space with sunbathing, kitchen, saloon and piloting station on the front.

Receiving 300 to 500 HP Yanmar, the program of the Catspace MY is the autonomy with fuel tanks of 1400 L and 700 L of water.

Aventura 14 Power

Aventura Catamarans is thinking big by offering a catamaran of less than 14 m equipped with 6 cabins and 6 bathrooms. This version will be particularly suitable for chartering, one of the objectives of the shipyard. For the rest, the idea is to sail for a long time, in a boat as comfortable as a house. Thus, we find on board many equipment: American fridge of 600 L, washing machine, dishwasher..

With its 3,000 litre tank (with an additional 1,000 litres available as an option), the Aventura 14 Power is completely self-sufficient. With its category A approval, it even offers the possibility of crossing the Atlantic on a motor boat.

Bali 4.3 MY

The 4.3 MY is the first power catamaran from Bali Catamarans. It is directly in the heart of the 40-foot catamaran market. On board, we find all the codes of the Bali range: tilting door, platform without trampoline at the front which serves as a spacious lounge area, decompartmentalization of spaces (the windows can be lowered, slide for natural ventilation) and ease of movement of people on board.

This model also has additional living space with a spacious flybridge. Below deck, the layout is modular with versions from 2 very large cabins to 4 en-suite cabins.

The Euphorie Série 5 from the Privilège Marine shipyard is a Lombard design directly inspired by its sailing counterpart the Privilège Série 5. This 50-foot motor catamaran offers comfort at sea, habitability and, above all, luxury for long-distance sailing thanks to its good autonomy. The Euphorie has been designed for speeds of 10 to 15 knots, but its behaviour remains excellent at lower and higher speeds. The deck plan is available in three versions, as are the interior layouts.

Leopard 53 PC

The Leopard 53 Pc is the new model from the South African yard Robertson and Caine. It replaces the 51 Powercat launched in 2013, and introduces the 4th generation of the Leopard Catamarans brand. The Leopard 53 PC introduces a new, more modern design where the glazing has been maximised.

The emphasis is clearly on the exterior with a large flybridge topped by a rigid bimini, a huge cockpit and a beautiful bathing platform. The hulls can accommodate 3 to 4 cabins, a modularity appreciated according to the type of property (private or charter).

Aquila 54 Power

This cruising catamaran has all the characteristics and construction methods of the Aquila Boats shipyard. The idea is to offer a larger and more comfortable boat, with a large refrigerator for long cruises and a layout ranging from 3 to 5 cabins, with the possibility of opting for a skipper's cabin and a kitchen in the hulls.

The Aquila 54 Power has a flybridge that can be left open or closed completely, with the added option of air conditioning for those long days in the sun.

Leen 56

Leen Trimarans are motor multihulls designed for both offshore and coastal cruising. With a long hydrodynamic central hull length, the Leen 56 only needs a small engine, thus reducing fuel consumption. The manufacturer announces a consumption of less than 2L/mile.

As far as the layout is concerned, the Leen 56 draws its inspiration from the Neel 51. On the main deck you will find the galley, the dining area and the owner's cabin. As standard, the Leen 56 is offered with 3 double cabins with bathrooms. The layout of the exterior spaces (cockpit and flybridge) is left to the owner's choice.

Ocean Eco 60

Alva Yachts is a new brand of electric and solar boats and luxury floating homes. The design is rather bold with angular lines. The solar panel surface has been maximized by adding a roof cap. At full power, they can generate 20 kW on the Ocean Eco 60. The 300 kWh lithium batteries allow the boat to travel 110 miles at a speed of seven knots, with virtually unlimited range at 4-5 knots.

Class 6 Power

The Latvian shipyard O'Yachts presents its first motor catamaran, the Class6 Power. But in a low consumption approach, the latter will be equipped with a hybrid diesel-electric version or a full electric version. With a semi-custom layout, this catamaran adapts to a variety of programmes and is available in a layout version with up to 4 cabins. The Class6 Power has a 15kw Oceanvolt engine/generator, coupled to a 19kw lithium battery bank. The diesel engine (several engine manufacturers are available) offers a power of 80 to 110 HP.

FP Power 67

Following in the footsteps of Fountaine Pajot's largest sailing catamaran, the Alegria 67, this new Power 67 is designed for long sea cruising. With a motorization up to 2x435 HP, the largest model of the motor range has a range of 1,700 miles.

With a cockpit area of 36 m2 and a flybridge of 32 m2, the outdoor spaces are large and comfortable. As an option, it is even possible to install a jacuzzi on the foredeck. The layout is available in two versions - Maestro Lounge (galley in passageway/1 owner's suite + 3 double cabins/4 bathrooms) or Maestro Classic (galley in saloon/1 owner's suite + 4 double cabins/4 bathrooms).

Sixty 7

Following on from the Seventy 8 launched in 2018, the Sixty 7 has the same luxurious layout. She comes in two layout versions, side galley in the port hull and 4 to 5 cabins or central galley in the nacelle with 5 or 6 cabins. The volumes are immense with always these interior/exterior spaces, in particular in the large cockpit.

JFA Long Island 78' Power

Developed in collaboration with Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group for the naval architecture and Darnet Design for the interiors, the Long Island 78' Power is a semi-custom motor catamaran. Her aluminium hull has been designed for long distance voyages. The interior layout of the nacelle is voluminous, with a galley and saloon on the port side offering direct access to the foredeck and a dining room and navigation station on the starboard side. Below deck, there is an owner's cabin and 4 guest cabins.

With 2X500 HP, the cruising speed is about 12 knots and the maximum speed is 15 knots.

Licia C24

The Licia 24 is a new concept in motor catamarans with great autonomy and the look of an expedition boat. With a superstructure that mixes very straight windows and angular lines, it stands out for its unconventional design. Starting with the wheelhouse on the flybridge, which allows for protected sailing in all conditions. With 175 m2 of living space, the Licia 24 is fitted out with luxury and conviviality. The hulls are reserved for guest cabins with private bathrooms and crew quarters.

Outside, the space is immense - 190 m2 - and offers numerous relaxation areas: foredeck lounges, dining area in the cockpit, Jacuzzi on the flybridge, etc.

Silent 80 Tri-Deck

The Silent 80 is the largest model of electric solar catamaran from Silent-Yachts. To satisfy its demanding clientele, the shipyard now offers a "Tri-Deck" version. This large flybridge offers a surface area of 90 m2 with a sunbathing area, a dining area, a huge steering position, a sunbathing area and even a Jacuzzi. It is also possible to opt for a closed flybridge version, which can be fitted with a 45 m2 owner's suite with its own aft terrace. Four propulsion options are available: Cruiser/E-Power/E-Power + and E-Power Pod.
